About

From Texas, by way of the Enchanted Circle.

Pastor Jesse and Rachel Hardy spent 25 years in ministry in Texas before moving with their family to plant a church in Questa, New Mexico. River Community Church is what started growing here.

The family

Jesse, Rachel, and six kids — three of them now way too tall.

We came here from Texas — Jesse with two and a half decades of ministry experience and a Christian Leadership degree from Ecclesia College, Rachel with a long history of running women's, kids', and foster/adoption ministries. The three older kids are grown and out on their own in College Station, Austin, and Chattanooga; the three younger ones made the drive west with us and are at RCC most Sundays.

Our mission
Introducing people to Jesus and the work He calls us to.
Ephesians 2:1–10
Core values

Three things we keep coming back to.

Every church says it has values, but ours are short on purpose — three plain words we keep coming back to when we're trying to figure out what to do next.

01

Gospel Centered

Everything we do flows from the good news of Jesus — what He has done, what He is doing, and what He has called us into.

02

Sacrificial Living

We follow a Savior who gave Himself for us, and we love and serve others in the same way — with our time, our resources, and our lives.

Matthew 20:28; 1 Peter 3:15–16

03

Missional Community

We gather as the Church not just for ourselves but on behalf of our neighbors — in Questa, along the Enchanted Circle, and beyond.

Hebrews 10:25

The best way to learn the rest of the story is over dinner.

Sunday Nights, 5:00 pm. Pull up a chair. We'll catch you up.
